Discocops DJ & Uplighting Service is owned and managed by myself, Martin Keogh.
I am originally from and living in Blanchardstown in Dublin 15. I am married to Erika, and I am the proud father of 6 beautiful children, Emma, Rebecca, Hannah, Karla and Alan and Melissa.
I am a full time wedding DJ, and am available for hire any day or night of the week.
I am fully tax registered as a sole trader, RBN 391716.
Originally I started DJing for friends and work colleagues way back in 1995, but had to give up the young and free lifestyle when my first child, Emma was born in 1998.
After years of attending various parties and weddings the image portrayed by the DJ at some of these events left a lot to be desired,turning up late, in jeans and runners, wires all over the place, sitting down infront of a laptop, using substandard equipment, same cheesy songs over and over! I recognised the need in the market for a professional and friendly approach, with tidy and presentable setups.
I started investing heavily in new professional grade equipment, and have been successfully performing at many events, ranging from wedding parties,wedding receptions,anniversaries, engagement parties, corporate parties, birthday parties, children’s parties, presentation nights, and my most prestigious one yet, the home coming of the history making Grand Slam 2009 winning Ireland Rugby Squad.
I am an avid lover of music of all types, and have a huge collection, spanning all decades and genres. I am constantly purchasing new music also, keeping my music library up to date.

I also rate appearance very highly, and I DJ at your event appropriately attired, with a tidy and well presented setup.
Although all my equipment is professional grade and well maintained, equipment can fail on occasion. Only the true professional DJs invest extra money in back up equipment, to ensure that no matter which piece of equipment fails, your event can still carry on regardless! As standard, there are 3 different playout systems connected at all times to ensure that the music never stops!
I carry €2.6million Public Liability Insurance, and all my equipment is carefully maintained and serviced.

I am also a proud member of SEDA, a UK based professional DJ organization established in 1974 to promote a professional approach and to provide an assurance of professionalism and ethical behavior to clients, with a set code of practice for all its members. Infact I am the only DJ based in Ireland to be a member of this professional organisation.
